LaSalle Farms goes to Holland!

Hello to all that have been waiting patiently for my first ever blog post. A new website design paired with limited internet capabilities have slowed my ability to keep you all in the know of what’s been happening here. So, now 1 ½ months into my trip, I’ll have to go back to the beginning. Welcome to my first ever blog post!

For those of you who do not know me, and are just finding my website by sheer chance, a little info leading up to this trip. I’ve been riding, training, buying, selling, showing, breeding, and loving horses for most of my life. Good luck, hard work and a supportive family enabled me to pursue my dreams of making a career in the horse industry. For the past 10 plus years I’ve been importing horses from Europe in order to show and sell them in the states. Business aside, my main passion is the sport, and I’ve always wanted to come to Europe for an extended period of time to improve my riding, learn better horsemanship and to find some really good horses. Fast forward to May 12th, 2011 and that dream became a reality. With the insane over the top help of family and friends (proper shout out) I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to move to Europe for the adventure of a lifetime. In these blog posts I hope to bring you along in my journey, to share the highs and lows, the learning and the bewilderment, and all of the things that fall in between. For the riders and horse people out there I hope to share some training tips that I learn throughout my journey; gymnastics, exercises and practices in and out of the barn to better your horse and yourself. And for you non riders, I hope you will enjoy some of my stories of blunders and fun in and around Europe. Please enjoy.
